Best Video Games for Gameboy
1 Castlevania Adventure
OK, there was one frustrating part where your character has to climb up a series of ropes while some jagged spheres rise up out of the flood but otherwise this was a superb adaption of the franchise. Basically you belong to the Belmont family who for the past few hundred years have been fighting Dracula every time he rises from the grave. Why Belmont? Because he character Van Helsing is owned by the Bram Stoker estate. Dracula is a real name for a medieval count who was not really a vampire, which gives anyone permission to use it even without the Stroker estate's permission. As a Belmont you carry a magic whip that turns zombies and other monsters into flaming dust. You must fight your way trough Transylvania and several levels of Dracula's castle for the final confrontation
2. Final Fantasy Adventure
Four games in the final fantasy franchise. There was "Final Fantasy Legend", "Final Fantasy Legend II", and "Final Fantasy Legend III". You would think that something that was final would end at the first game but apparently the word final in this franchise is meaningless. While I liked the other games in the series they all had the same problem, the RPG fights. This is where the screen suddenly changes to pictures and text as you manage how your band of heroes is going to fight the enemy or use their magic. Those fights can become monotonous after a while. "Final Fantasy Adventure" has more of the Zelda like clashes where you slash away at enemies in real time which makes the game move a lot faster.
3. Legend of Zelda: links Awakening
**SPOILER ALERT** The surprise ending to this game? It was all a dream. You play Link who on his way back from his last adventure gets caught in a storm in the middle of the ocean. He wakes up on a mysterious island where once again he has to gather the necessary items for survival in any Zelda game, the sword to kill enemies and chop down plants, the shield, the feathered that allow you to jump over holes, the grappling hook that pulls you across large gaps, and so on. Each item you find allows you to gain access to more of the island where you find more maze like dungeons where more items are hidden. Gradually you solve the mystery of the games villain who in this game turns out to be the nightmare of a sleeping whale. Somehow Link is trapped in the whales dream and must gather all the musical instruments he finds in the dungeons that will wake the whale up, but at the same time cause all the friends he made on the island to vanish. The great thing about this game was how well it compared to the previous game released on Super Nintendo. BTW, despite the title of this game stating that this was supposed to be the legend of princess Zelda she is not mentioned once in this game.
Wii Games That you Should Have
Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles: In this Resident Evil spinoff series, the genre has been changed. Instead of an action game, it's not a rails shooter. A rails shooter is a shooting games where it advances your
character once you defeat the enemies on the screen. Resident Evil fans will enjoy this one, because previous plots are in the game to recreate previous games in the rail shooter style. Multiple difficulties, upgradeable weapons and items to collect are highlights of the game. The game is for one or two players.
Big Brain Academy Wii Degree: This educational and party game is great for any age gamer out there. In Big Brain, you take different tests to see how smart you are. The games range from thinking, counting and more. There is various games and tests to take, so you wont just be doing the same thing everytime. There is single player modes, as well as multiplayer modes.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl: This is the newest installment of the crazy Nintendo fighting game. In this game, all your favorite Nintendo characters return, as well as several new ones (Solid Snake of Metal Gear, ROB the robot and more) to battle it out in matches to the finish. This game has a lot to do in it, which will keep you busy for quite a while. There is many multiplayer modes, plus a story mode as well. Also there is many trophies and other collectables to unlock. This game features online play, which has it's problems but it's worth trying if you get bored of just playing your friends and family all the time.
Little King's Story: Don't let the name fool you, this game isn't a game solely for kids. This game is a very in-depth real-time strategy video game. In the game, you play as a young king that is in charge of building up a kingdom. You do this by controlling armies of soldiers in battles. That's not all though, you also actively help out in the kingdom. People can have different jobs, and it's up to you to decide which ones you will use the most. The game features colorful graphics and a decent amount of gameplay time. If you remember the Pikmin series from GameCube, you are bound to enjoy Little King's Story. They have similar game styles. This game is for one player only.
Animal Crossing City Folk: This is a life simulation game. If you know about the Sims series, it's comparable to that to a point. The whole game is in real time. Your Wii clock (date and time) determine what time it is
in the game. A second passes in real life and in the game at the same time. In City Folk, you move into a town and live with animals. The animals talk and interact with you. This seems farfetched, but it's entertaining. In your town you will be given required jobs to do, as well as optional ones. You can grow fruit and plant flowers to make your town look better. There is bug hunting and fishing to do in the game as well. The game has a wide variety of items you can buy and sell. These can be placed in your own house to decorate it. The activities in this game are massive. Animal Crossing City Folk is a single player game offline, but a multiplayer game online. It's also one of the few games to feature the Wii's voice chat known as WiiSpeak. Online play is also a big part of the game. You can visit friends and interact with them in realtime. Be warned: the game does get repetitive and boring sometimes. On the repetitive side: animals repeat things too often. On some days it seems like you are just doing the same thing all the time once you've done the required things. It's boring sometimes, once you've collected the fish and bugs for a certain season, you will have less to do. However in general the free games is fun and should keep you busy for a while.
