So recently I bought Fable 1, and to be honest when I first saw I thought what a childish game, but I was mistaken. Fable is a real time action role playing game it was released by Lionhead Studios famous for their Black & White video game series, Fable was released in 2004 for the xbox and some years later for PC and mac.

So the play games starts while you are 5 or something and when you look at your character you will say look at this adorable little boy, but after 3 hours, I killed my sister for power, my colleague for fame, her brother for nothing, I gave a little boy to a murderer, wow that’s pretty harsh to be a kids game. Basically don’t be mistaken by the graphics, it’s not for kids, and then I have a complain why your hero has no voice? Was it so hard to find another voice actor? So you have an alignment system but still I can’t see the reason, not to mention you can change it in a blink of the eye, kill some bandits/guards and that’s it I think they shouldn’t have putted it there.
The role playing itself was surpassingly good, you see this game managed not to be ruined in monotony as almost every rpg, but its not as easy as Final Fantasy games when you could just finish the game without giving a crap about it. And there is a difficulty mode selection I finished it in normal in about 10 hours, but there are hard and very hard. The game feels small but you can play more than that, you can try to find every legendary weapon and every silver key and open all demon doors, another complain why the hell when you finish the game it ends? Why you can’t continue playing just for fun + the remaining quests. The game has a small amount of quest comparing to games like Gothic 3 all Fable quest could be the quests for 2 major cities in Gothic 3, not to mention that bronze quests aren’t exactly quests (no directly reward).Back to role play, you do not level up, you collect exp and then use it to upgrade your abilities, but, I had a spell fighter so I upgraded support spells and strength skill, but thinking of that you always have to make a spell fighter there are nothing else to choose I mean if you choose fighter you will upgrade the strength skills (3) fast and then what left? There are more skills like move silently or speed but still the mana regenerates fast so it’s a bad choice not to upgrade magic skills.
So I was wondering around the town, and suddenly hearts were flying upon people heads, what the **** is this Digimon world 2? But then the games tell you can flirt with people and then marry them, strange but then I witness something shocking there are hearts upon MEN too, wtf I though It was a glitch but no you can marry men, if you had the change to create a woman then it would be ok to marry another woman but men? (No I am not a racist) but still it’s a game a small boy could play it. Not to mention that there is a BORDELLO in the game but at least its realistic it’s easier to go to a bordello than to make love with your wife. Just listen how it works you must nade spam flirt emotion and then give her gifts and before she goes to sleep take off your clothes and talk to her AND MAYBE if she hasn’t got a headache she might agree. Oh and the other thing I married the mayor (there should be kings but anyway) and a prisoner told me she is a killer, I found proof that she killed her sister, and then the mayor comes in and yells at me, tells me not to search her past and she took the proof and my hero was just standing there, wtf? If there was a situation like this in Gothic 3, there would be an option rape her to death. Your hero is gay.

The plot, eh ok its not something new but its not something bad either, I mean you control the game, if you kill him there would another ending if you select that there would be other ending. Another thing there is a time in the game when you are imprisoned, and then of course you escape, and the place if full of soldiers, but after that I visited the place again and it was deserted, so what they all died and the town decided to have no guards at all.
Expansion Map
Overall the game is good, but it could be better, and now some controls problem. Like Fallout 3, to go to your map or to your item selection you need to press a button and then go to the map option and etc. WHY? Just a simple why? You don’t use the button “M” for something why not use it for directly map, in fable you can use F keys but still its so random that you’ll never remember it, in other free games like Gothic again you press M for map I for inventory L for logs, anyway that’s bull**** I completly do not understand those new gaming controls.
Arena Fight
Achievements, first there are the silver chest achievements which is a directly rip off from tombi (or tomba) games, to open a silver chest with the number 15 you need 15 keys (you not actually use them). You gather keys with mostly 2 ways you fish them, SERIOUSLY I have NEVER caught a fish I always fish armor and silver keys, and the other way is to dig them. Ok fair enough it’s ridiculously easy to find the spots; if you play you will understand. And there are demon doors to open them solve the riddle.
Not to elaborate anymore this is my review for Fable 1, and you know what I just now realized that I have the expansion, with 16 more quests, so the first one must be like 6 hour game, anyway get the expansion not the original.
