Since you can't bring the Deadliest Warriors in the history books together without breaking a few veins, there was only one game series that would fill the graphic needs of this game. Deadliest Warrior: The Game is filled with Mortal Kombat gore. Arrows remain sticking out of the warriors and shields, dismemberments abound, and each warrior even has his own finishing move.
So, if Deadliest Warrior: The Game is everything to love from the great fighting games what could possibly be wrong? At a cost of 800 points to download the game feels a little small. While $10 isn't much these days for a game, there are much larger fighters out there. There are only 8 deadliest warriors represented. The fighting games developers promise more content soon in the way of downloadable content, but if these DLC packs come in very small increments, this game could easily turn into a clone of Sony's PS3 game Pain. Pain can only maintain its fun factor with a near constant influx of real world money. There are also flaws in the game execution that could be repaired with a game update in the future. There are places in the open world map that show graphics clipping and horrible object detection.
If you are looking for a great way to kill many hours brutalizing your friends either online or off, then for the price this one is hard to beat. If you like fighting games to have a flowing story line and epic endings, look for a copy of one of the inspiration play games used by the developers. At the very least if you are a fan of 3D fighting games then download the demo and check Deadliest Warriors: The Game out for yourself. It may just be the game you've been longing for since the end of the Bushido Blade series all those many years ago.
